Coding is considered a new and necessary literacy. In addition to being fun and engaging, programming is highly educational. It offers learners the skills of critical thinking, problem solving, persistence, collaboration, and communication. It also aligns with many K-8 Common Core English language arts and math standards. Students will explain a variety of coding apps that they have explored and what they have learned on their personal coding journey.
